League of Legends: Riot Games Disabled / All Chat in all game modes

Riot Games would soon try another measure to minimize toxic behavior in the community. With the next update, the / all chat is to be completely deactivated in League of Legends. During a game, players have no way to write the opposing team. In the blog, the responsible persons of the MOBA have expressed their decision. Thus, the team is aware that the / all chat is also used for positive calls - but negative disputes should continue to outweigh.

Therefore, Riot Games wants to take the function from the title for the time being. So far, players always had the free choice, whether they want to have the / all chat activated. But it is only a test run. In the near future, the developers want to send a survey to players to get their feedback around the topic. However, the announcement met with fans on mixed reactions. Among other things, because toxic behavior is usually more likely to be found in its own team chat. Twitch Streamer Tyler1 also has evidenced in his last transfer to deactivating the / all chat in League of Legends.

Tyler1 believes that a manual deactivation of the chat - as it was the case - is completely sufficient. In addition, the streamer refers to the still missing voice chat within the teams in League of Legends. And that, although numerous other titles - including valorant by Riot Games - already have such a feature. The next update for League of Legends (Buy Now) will be released on October 20, 2021.
